The Artist
Lómënár
From Sweden’s metal capital Gothenburg comes Lómënár, an exciting new voice in the worlds of storytelling and music. My aim is to tell stories that evoke emotion, question and deal in personal challenges that need to be overcome. I tell these stories through my creative writing, my music, and my art.
Lómënár combines folk and classical music, with dark and melancholic doom metal. It is a true fusion of the past and the future. A unique style that stands out from the usual symphonic metal bands. Fans describe my vocal timbre as smooth, dark chocolate. I also have an impressive range, spanning over three octaves.
My previous work together with symphonic metal bands Lapis Lazuli and Xhiria have received high praise. The critics have all been of the opinion that my’s vocals are brilliant and that they match the magnificence of any of the leading ladies in the genre.
Art and music is a universal language and it is something that connects people from all around the world. My hope is that my music and the stories I seek to tell through my art will be one of those things that brings people together and moves them onto the path towards the future.
“It could actually be said that Cecilia Kamf has vocals of the Tarja Turunen guild, that swan-like elegance in her voice caressing each note produced by her fellow band members.“
